…that is the question.
So you have this friend that’s cool but not Diddy, pretty but not Gabriel Union, and caring but not Mother Theresa. As you get closer to the friend you’re bound to care more for them. This caring could go in one of two directions…either romantic or platonic.
This is one of the most difficult decisions for a guy/girl to make…especially when you have no clue which route the other party is taking. So do you play it safe and keep it platonic or do you take a chance in hopes that you have an amazing romantic experience with the person? You must keep in mind that the latter will almost surely ruin the unique dynamic that a guy-girl friendship has. Is that worth sacrificing? I wonder how we end up having some friends of the opposite sex that we’re completely platonic with, whereas we have others that we’d do in a hot second…yet you genuinely care for them both equally. What’s the stimulant that leads you to choose one path over the other?
I was going to write my opinion but I think i’ll save it. What I will say is that it’s extremely tumultuous trying to figure out the answers to those questions.

i think you just need to come to terms with the fact that male-female friendships are often times started based on attraction
